pict_2-1.pngThe proposed project falls perfectly in line with the European Union’s policy in the field of vocational education and training that enables the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences required in specific professions on the labour market. These professions include: CNC machine programmer, CNC machine operator, machining technologist, quality control engineer. Currently, there is still a huge demand for these professions on the labour market. It turns out that, on average, only 50% of young Europeans aged 15-19 participate in initial vocational education and training programmes. One can also witness a drop in engineers graduating from universities, which is of crucial importance in light of the observed and felt demographic decline. However, the European Union (EU) average does not show any significant differences in terms of geographic location in Europe. The percentage of young people participating in such programmes ranges from 15% to over 70%. The proposed project not only responds to the needs of the economy and will enable its participants to acquire specific skills important for the economy, but it also provides opportunities for personal development and civic activity. It will be a driving force behind an effective policy aimed at increasing employment. Indirectly, the project will contribute to increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of employers by providing the market with qualified and well-prepared employees. In addition, the project will also foster creativity and, indirectly, the development of innovation. The project responds not only to the needs of higher vocational education and training, but it also promotes the development of initial vocational education and training (I-VET) at a secondary second-degree level (before the student’s employment) and satisfies the needs for continuing vocational education and training (CVET) following the completion of initial vocational education and training or after the start of employment.
